About the carpet cleaning methods:

Two main categories:
A). Maintenance carpet cleaning accomplished by the "dry cleaning" method. This method involves different techniques, like: Absorbent compound, Dry foam, Bonnet and Shampoo. Cleaning is simple, quick and it is usually done in "one pass". There is no rinsing. Drying time is very short because the use of water is limited (or none). The re-soiling is very common because this is not 'in depth" cleaning and a big portion of dirt remains in the carpet, though. The method is widely used in commercial and public premises where the appearance of the carpet has a main priority.
B). Restorative, deep carpet cleaning, accomplished by the Hot Water Extraction (Steam) cleaning method. The method consists of the following main steps: Pre-vacuuming, pre-spraying, agitating and rinsing the carpet with very hot (steam) solution, followed by immediately extraction. It allows deep and thorough soil removal and sanitizing of the carpet. This is the only suitable for residential carpets cleaning method.

Do I have to pre-vacuum my carpets?

- Vacuuming is the first step of the service so, you do not have to vacuum your carpets before the scheduled cleaning.

How to maintain my carpets?

  • Vacuum carpet regularly. Vacuuming does not damage the carpet. Sand and other hard soil do!
  • Put mats on the entry doors to avoid tracking soil from outside.
  • Clean the spills immediately. After time they become a hard to clean soil.
  • Clean the spots or stains only if you know how to do this. Improper treatment could turn some stains into permanent damage.

What affects the stain resistance warranty of the carpet?

- Stain resistance warranty from manufacturer covers stains caused by food and beverages.
- Stain resistance warranty does not cover stains caused by:

  • Foods that contain strong natural dyes (found in mustard or herbal tea).
  • Bleaches, acne medications, drain cleaners.
  • Plant food.
  • Vomit, urine, feces.

How often the carpet needs to be cleaned?

- Even with regular vacuuming and proper use, the carpet should be cleaned every 6 to 12 months, depending on its condition. Regular vacuuming removes dry soil, but the spots, stains, bacteria and other sticky contaminations remain in the carpet. They can be removed by deep, thorough, steam, cleaning only.
